Over the past year, I ended up playing in two bands. In the first band, I was on vocals and rhythm guitar, mainly focussed on originals and recording. We also did a few open mics. The videos on this page show me at my very first gig. It is rough around the edges and only recorded on an iPhone.

For the other band, I played drums covering songs by the Beatles, R.E.M. The Smiths, Tom Petty, Queen etc. There were no gigs with this band, as they just wanted to practice together with a group of like-minded musos.

I am moving from Brisbane to Bendigo in June 2024 to be closer to family, and I am looking to be part of a duo, trio or join a band, singing and playing rhythm guitar. I would also like to work on coming up with originals, recording them, helping to play various instruments on the recording, and would then be open to perform them at open mics, busking, gigs etc.

I have been jamming with a friend over the past year (guitar and vocals) and have noticed a significant improvement. I would like to keep that momentum going. I also play bass at a rudimentary level and drums (self-taught, basic level). I may be open to working with a band, but would need to chat through with them what commitment levels they are looking for and if they are willing to take on someone who hasn't gigged before, and is wanting to grow in this area.
