SEEKING
Band to Join, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Trumpet, Saxophone, Keyboard, Piano, Trombone, Upright bass.ABOUT
Hi, I am a vocalist seeking a band to rehearse & gig with. I don't really play an instrument but have written a few songs using a bass guitar which I taught myself however, I am no where near good enough to play it out in public (or private for that matter) and haven't picked it up in a few years. I would love to join an already established band and am also seeking band members to form a band with a Jazzy/Blues/Funk/Soul/R&B feel and as I have performed in costume at cabaret style festivals I would love to play with musicians who are not afraid to get dressed up in vintage clothing as I believe a performance should be about the whole package 'asthetics, style & sound.' (that is a dream as I said but not 100% necessary). If you have any riffs/songs that you have been working on, I would love to hear and write lyrics for them. My philosophy as a singer is this: 'Every part of the band is important and a performance should showcase each individual band member and not just the vocalist - afterall, if there are no musicians - there is no band'
I have attached a video from a performance at Wollombi Music Festival in 2012 as my alter ego & band Belle Benét Burlesque Cabaret singer (hence the burlesque style outfit) however I am wanting to sing as myself so my dress will not be as 'out there' so to speak!
