Hi,
I've been paying on and off for over 30 years. Played in a band in uni, and now getting back into guitar over the last few years. I am fairly proficient as I'm classically trained fairly close to A MusA level. I can play most things on electric or steel string acostic although I'd still need to practice some of the really fast solo stuff to get the runs smooth. I can sing a bit but I'm definitely a guitarist who sings than the other way around. It would be great if there was someone with a strong voice and some guitar skills that I could duet with. Playing in a band is also great fun but that is a lot more work. My FB site has a few clips of me playing that you’re welcome to check out.

Influences
Apart from Tarrega and a bunch of classical composers, I enjoy playing most modern stuff and also classic rock/pop and also a bit of Blues. Anything really from Simon and Garfunkel to Guns N Roses!.
There are just so many amazing new Oz acts with awesome songwriters, like Mallrat, Ball park Music, Middle Kids, etc.

EQUIPMENT
I've got a Takemine classical guitar, CF Martin acoustic electric and a Ibanez Blazer electric with custom Fender pickup. For playing the electric I use a marshall valve combo amp and like to keep it fairly clean, I will use overdrive, a bit of reverb and maybe a wah wah pedal for a bit of effect but that's about it. When I used to gig I used a compression-sustainer pedal for solos to get a bit of a boost but that was a long time ago, there are probably better ways of doing that now. I've probably played 10-20 gigs but these were all many years ago. Having said that my skill level is probably better now than it was then.
