member of 3 performing samba (percussion) bands (Sydney and Adelaide - 6-8 years approx.), and 3 other bands also as a percussionist (approx. 2-3 years) Natural sense of rhythm (background as a dancer - able to dance latin styles) - including syncopation and more 'black' style rhythms which 'white' people can have trouble with. Have made a bit of a personal study of latin, afro-carribean, African, world music since about 1995 - but also interested in eclectic musical styles. Past radio presenter on a world music programme on Ethnic radio (radio 5EBI Adelaide). Currently member of a performing band, last performances (4/2/2018) at The Governor Hindmarsh and Three Brothers Arms, Macclesfield, & Radio 5PBA 16/7/2019 (with African based band, original songs)
Have performed in WomAdelaide samba parade (2009) and 2 Adelaide Fringe Parades.
