Lead guitarist, songwriter, lead/backing vocalist.
My latest EP ‘There’ll Come a Time’ by Nick Adamson is now available on your favorite streaming service.
In 2025 I will be returning from the USA to live in Geelong West, Victoria, Australia and playing music full time. I will write and record more original music and want to form a band to play festivals, wineries and venues that support original music. Listening to my originals will give you a better idea of the genre than me trying to explain it.
Currently lead singer and lead guitarist with Michigan band Southbound Again and lead guitarist for Sam Hess and The Highroad Drifters.
Some history…..
I started playing around '85 in Melbourne, Australia in various rock and blues rock bands before moving to the UK for 7 years followed by the USA for the last 6 years.
2019-2024: I have been living in the Chicago IL and Michigan. I’ve been a bit of a journeyman in between the demands of a busy day job. I have been lead guitarist for signed artist Jimmy Sarr, lead vocalist and guitarist of Kitten and The Tonics (50s rockabilly), played various sideman country gigs around Chicagoland, Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee and Arizona. Highlights include supports for Mitchell Tenpenny, Deke Dickerson, recording my first EP, hanging out and learning from Johnny Hiland and meeting David Hood of The Swampers and him playing some of his most famous bass lines for me.
2011-18: I was in the UK where I founded prominent country act Wrecking Ball with BCMA award winning singer Mark Hills. Mark and I had spent time in Nashville and wanted to bring the honky tonkin’, hollerin’ and swallerin’, tip jarrin’ experience to the whole of the UK. Ten years on the band is delivering through self-promoted tours in multiple theatres around the country.
2002-2011: Founding member of Lionel Loves Vinyl which was formed as a 70s glam rock band which has expanded to cover all of the great rock music of 70-90s over it’s 23 years history. It is a credit to my founding buddies Stuart and Mark that the band remains fiercely popular in Melbourne venues by playing great songs that bring in the dancing girls, honour classic rock fashion and play well but don’t take itself too seriously (which is hard to do in a wig and seriously sweaty vinyl pants anyway!).
So country, acoustic rock, Americana, rockabilly and some surf are my thing but have played plenty of classic and 80s rock as well as blues and blues-rock staples.
I've played many gigs and festivals across the USA, U.K. and Australia. I’m meticulous, professional and very experienced at positioning and branding a band to offer something different and have incredible longevity.

The great guitar tones of the 50s-70s grab me the most, fat cleans drenched in reverb and echo, ballsy and twangy country tones with a little raucous thrown in and of course there’s Angus, Brian, Knopfler and Gilmour bliss.
