Hi, I’m looking for a singer and other players to jam with and have some fun and, if we feel it’s going ok, maybe look to doing a relaxed gig in a local pub or whatnot, parties, exhibition openings at small galleries, phone boxes ? Cool covers are my preference, 60’s pop and soul, jazz standards that kinda thing.
I wish they had a more calibrated list with their aptitude ratings. I feel like I'm better than moderate but saying you're advanced sounds like you're a bit up yourself, know what I mean ?
Story so far is: Piano lessons from the Nuns, tub bass player in a hot jug band in Melbourne; electric bass player in a seriously arty cabaret band followed by a serious original rock band in Adelaide; guitar in another original band in Canberra, piano in a Bossa nova band (they turfed me out when they twigged after a couple of months that I was faking it), then retirement, marriage, travel, Sydney and here I am.
