Callan Ward(also known as Cal Wardy) from Dudley NSW started playing guitar before he started year 7 did lessons, mostly self-taught with lead guitar, in year 9 he started a band which was called the Riverboys which was a local band from newcastle nsw and the first gig was played at North Hamilton bowling club. in year 10 he started doing Rosies School of Rock which is owned by a former drummer from the screaming jets Craig (Rosie) Rosevear, started doing bandcamp with the band Krome Rose, in 2012 did bandcamp again with the band called Asking Alice and in yr 11 started doing TAFE, the former guitarist from the screaming jets he first met was a TAFE teacher Grant Walmsley from newcastle nsw.

Most of his Guitar influences are Bumblefoot, Angus young, Glenn Proudfoot, Tom Quayle, Slash, Joe Satriani, paul gilbert, Jared James Nichols.
what he likes doing is recording songs by using Garage band, sound engineering and setting up P.A.
He joined the Disability Program called Response, he joined in with the music program in 2014 Joined in the band called The black Fireflies, in April 2014 joined with Weekend getaway, They started gigs with Rosies school of rock and through other local musicians they knew before it started to fall apart before hiatus in 2017, in April 2017 he got offered to join One big mob aka OBM, the rock and grunge tribute band at age 22 by a bassist that was in a foo fighters tribute act Dave Donnelly 5 days later after seeing his band play. In mid 2017 Wardy Joined in a musical theatre role play that was through a disability non profit organisation called the Mai-wel group (Destiny the musical) later in the year the band weekend getaway have split up due to complications and pointless times so then they all moved on and did other things, in December 2018 he joined in the band (BOLTMAN) rockband featuring Scott Barber the passionate person that runs the band and he is a motivated person that gets things up and running. In 2019 Cal Wardy started doing open mics in Belmont Bowling club and Marks point Sports club doing Acoustic guitar covers, he’s passionate with playing hit songs, rock classics and the tunes that should blow you away.
