Unveil the Weapon is an instrumental that is inspired heavily by my early guitar and rock influences: Metallica, Rage Against The Machine, Tool and Steve Morse. The song is centred primarily on a key riff, which starts in unison and harmonically evolves through the course of the song. It features a polyrhythmic breakdown, inspired by my progressive influences Meshuggah and Tool, before ripping into a blues-fusion shred solo, courtesy of my heros Steve Morse and John Petrucci.
