I recently moved to Central Coast. I'm a non-prima-donna, mature vocalist looking for a jazz-oriented accompanist or small band to hone some beautiful covers and get paid for making tasty music at weddings and corporate events. The money isn't the main thing, but it will free me up from my family and work responsibilities to enjoy the singing I so love to do.
I'm a naturally gifted singer with a deep feel for the music and unique, heartfelt phrasing. I grew up singing while I worked on my family farm in the mountains of Ireland, listening to jazz greats and entertaining myself with my voice. I don't belt out at big volume, so it's more my feel and groove that can stun a crowd acapella, and I slot into an arrangement with taste and nuance. I'm 40 and coulda shoulda taken this talent further earlier—but my nerves were a real problem for many years. I'm ready to move through that block and keen for musical collaboration and connection.
