I have been playing since my teens (self-taught) and now am in my 60s. I enjoy improvisation and 'taking ownership' of originals. I can't read music but can keep a beat. I can syncopate, enjoy 5/4, mixed tempos, blues, jazz-blues, rock etc.

EQUIPMENT
I build my own electric guitars (CN-Jewell Guitars) for myself and for others. I repair, service and customise electric guitars. I also service amps, esp tubed. My profile shot shows one of my t-styles, with a Fender Jaguar pup and a D'Urbano Magnetics custom single pup.
My branded axes include a Fender Tele (1993) with Joe Barden pups, a Highway One Strat, a PRS, Framus Hollywood s/cutaway reissue, Gibson Melody Maker (re-issue, custom pup). Amps include: Sherlock BuffTone, Fender Bassbreaker 30 and a couple of tube amps I've made. I also use various pedals, but never set to 11; prefer their subtle presence.
