Disclaimer: The audio files that I've added are from very light-hearted jamming sessions with good friends. We're improvising with no planning in these recordings, just enjoying experimenting. I'm aware that the recordings are riddled with mistakes, and that there are some parts I butcher vocally. I'm thinking on the spot and trying random things in these recordings, but I don't take those risks at gigs. I just perform within the range and style that I am confident with and know I can easily execute with no trouble.

Welcome! I'm Claire Paton, an Australian singer-songwriter based in the Canberra region. I provide entertainment at weddings, functions, events, restaurants, cafes and bars as a soloist accompanying my voice with my guitars. I play a Martin acoustic and a hollow-bodied electric Taylor.

I am in the long process of recording an album, and I am excited to complete it. My song-writing and voice has featured on songs for other artists, and I have provided a link to one of them. This song is not reflective of my preferred genres, or typical style of singing. You can see my influences below. I do thoroughly enjoy some electronic music, and I am in the process of writing and recording several electronic songs with a producer for a collaborative project.

I have performed many gigs with other artists and bands, and I intend to do more collaborative song-writing, recording, gigs and tours. I enjoy the social aspect, as well as getting creative with other musicians in songwriting, jamming and covering songs in a unique way. I would like to spend a lot of time writing, jamming, experimenting, recording, gigging and touring with a guitarist. Getting a full band together would be wonderful too, if the right opportunities arise.

I enjoy polishing my art and have performed extensively both in Australia and the USA, and as such I'm looking for highly skilled and creative musicians.
