Hi, I'm Dave!

Originally from Melbourne, I'm a drummer with almost 30 years of experience in live performance and studio recording. I also run my own drum teaching school here in Cairns.

I play a wide range of styles – from rock, progressive and metal to solid pocket grooves, funk and fusion. While I enjoy exploring odd time, creative phrasing and rhythmic ideas, I’m equally happy locking into a solid groove in any genre.

I’m always open to joining a band if the music clicks, but I also offer session drumming for live performances and studio recordings

Beyond drumming, I play bass and rhythm guitar, and I have strong mix engineering skills. My acoustically treated studio is set up for professional-quality recording and band rehearsals, complete with a PA system. I’m also experienced in playing to clicks and backing tracks.
