Hi, I'm Dave!

I’m a drummer based in Cairns, originally from Melbourne, with nearly 30 years of experience playing everything from live gigs to studio sessions. I also run my own drum teaching school here in town.

I cover a wide range of styles – from rock, metal, and funk to prog, fusion, and everything in between. I love exploring complex, creative ideas, but I’m just as happy sitting in the pocket and holding down a tight groove.

I’m open to joining a band if the music clicks, and I’m also available for session drumming – whether it’s studio work or live gigs.

Outside of drums, I play bass and rhythm guitar, and have strong studio engineering skills. My acoustically treated studio is fully equipped for high-quality recordings and band rehearsals, with a full PA setup. I’m comfortable working with clicks, backing tracks, and all the usual session needs.
