I am a guitar strummin vocalist (main and backing vocals). I also play bass on a needs basis. I played extensively in the 80s and 90s in pubs, clubs, bars and accompaniment gigs. I put my professional career on hold with kids and the need for regular $$ but continued playing, learning, listening, reading etc - mostly playing in the bedroom and with friends. I am a high level player and singer. I have a deep and wide knowledge of music theory and practice. I can read music and play classical guitar to around 5th Level. My primary musical interest is jazz, especially latin tinged bossa, samba. I have played in several jazz bands in the past as both guitarist, vocalist and bass as needs dictated. I have a deep and abiding interest in music and play a wide range eg Elvis Costello, Tom Waits, Violent Femmes, Hank Williams, Jobim, Gershwin Bros, Cole Porter, Duke, Leonard Cohen.
