Biography
Deco is versatile and adventurous guitarist,composer and music teacher.
His music travels all the way from East to West,from Ethno/Rock to Jazz.
Born in Macedonia on 20 March 1990, in a family of musicians and music educators,he started playing guitar at the age of 12,just after completing 7 years of Classical Piano Diploma.
Deco was one of the founding members of Jazzobell Deux -The London Connection with whom he recorded 'Feather Stones' and 'Walking Through Mozambique'.
Jazz pianist Andreana Jovanovic Micanova(Phileas Fogg Trio) is his spouse.
Deco has played a wide variety of guitars, including a Gibson Les Paul,a Fender Stratocaster (Hendrix Woodstock Edition),a Custom Telecaster and Suhr super Strat.
The influence of ethnic and folk music of Southeastern Europe are recognizible in his occasional use of odd meters (5/4,7/8,9/8,11/8) and non-traditional scales (e.g the Phrygian dominant scale)
After completing his Bachelor Degree in Musical Arts -Jazz Guitar at a Jazz Academy in Europe, Deco moved to Melbourne, Australia.
He used his newfound freedom to pursue a myriad of other musical projects.
In 2016 he formed Jungle Fusion,an electrifying fusion trio with deep ethno roots.
Deco Jovanovic is currently teaching guitar,piano,drums ,music theory and junior ensembles
