Influences
Beatles & Stones.
1970s AM Radio easy listening & rock playlists.**
Krautrock (Neu! Can, Kraftwerk etc).
Prog (King Crimson, etc).
Garage Rock / Punk (Stooges to Nirvana to Pavement).
No-wave / new-wave / new romantics / goths and others.
Brit Rock -- prefer Blur to Oasis but Pulp are still the best.
Some classic rock, e.g. Zep … I prefer glam rock of that period.
Various parts of the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Modern canon/s and developing Contemporary canon/s.
Bowie, Eno, Siouxie Sioux, Talking Heads, Gang of Four, Au Pairs, Pel Mel, Systematics, Birthday Party, H&C, Saints, Laughing Clowns, 808 State, Massive Attack, Public Enemy, Beastie Boys, De La Soul, J Dilla, Fiona Apple, Conor Oberst (some), Sonic Youth, Pavement, Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, Bjork, FKA Twigs.
**as in, the sound of rock music through a 1970s vintage transistor radio speaker, not as in I want to play in an Air Supply cover band (except, you never know… )

EQUIPMENT
Telecaster / PRS / Reverend guitars. Amps: Laney
Yamaha bass with flat wounds / Laney SS bass amp.
Moog Mother-32. Moog DFAM. Oberheim Matrix 6R. Roland TR-8S. Tascam Model 12, various small synths, controllers, and effects pedals.
Home studio (mac), condenser mics etc but lacking proper room to record in most of the time. DAW is mainly Ableton Live 11 suite w/ a 61 key kb, Ableton push v1, several other midi controllers, an Oberheim Matrix 6R, several different drum machines, a hardware midi sequencer, various squeaking bits of electronics in various states of repair. Etc.
Also I understand basic video/film production technique (training and experience as a sound recordist) and can edit video a bit and make aftereffects create pretty colors and such.
