ABOUT

I'm interested in jamming on jazz and Latin standards with likeminded rhythm section, with a view to ultimately performing.
I'm also interested to join gigging covers/tribute bands playing soul/rock/R&B,funk/jazz/blues. I play alto sax & have had over 20 years experience playing in jazz big bands and various covers bands. I'm a good reader, very comfortable with rock and pop from 1960s to current, and an experienced onstage performer. Recently I completed 6 years with Baggy Trousers Madness Tribute Band performing regularly at venues around South East Qld. I worked in a big band and blues/covers bands in Washington DC for 4 years, as well as attending numerous jazz jams. Previously in Australia I played 4 years with SoulZU Soul & Funk Revue which played regular gigs at the Treasury Casino & Caloundra RSL in Brisbane Australia. I also played with The Premiers for Matman Promotions https://www.youtube.com/MATMANPRO/videos for four years, backing local and international touring artists including US performers Bobby Brooks Wilson bobbybrookswilson.com, Dean Z www.deanz.com and Lance Lipinsky www.lancelipinsky.com in large venues in Brisbane, Gold Coast & Sunshine Coast.
