Drums.ABOUT
Experienced veteran muso ( just an average player ) seeking people who wants to leave a "Mark" on this planet.
I am determined to have the WORLD hear my compositions.
The Music Bio of Graham K Cooper
Born in Yorkshire England in 1947, Immigrated to Australia in May 1955
Commenced my musical/performance career at a school pantomime at age 5 years.
Started my singing career at age 10 by singing in a quartet with my two sisters and brother.
Started playing guitar at age 15 in 1962 (inspired by the Beatles)
Formed my first band “ The Limit ” at 16 years of age and became the most popular band in the district
within 12 months, drawing crowds of up to 1000 people.
Supported Lucky Starr and others at the Open Air Tropicana Festival at Wilberforce to an Audience of 20,000+
Joined the Sydney based “infamous” 69ers (Hoadley’s Battle of the Bands winners) in 1969
Formed a new band M.A.C. in 1971 and was booked to perform at the Sydney Opera House opening
I was approached to join the “new Sherbet” with Dennis Laughlin; we had a 6 piece vocal harmony.
I have done TV performances, Recording Sessions, Club Backing Musician etc. etc.
I have worked with, met, supported or recorded with the following artists;
Mick Taylor ( The Rolling Stones ), Manfred Mann, John Enwhistle ( The Who ),The Cold Chisel Band, Irish John, The Dave Miller Set, Phil Emmanuel, Jeff St. John, The Power Pact, Dennis Wilson Band, Karvis Jute, Billy Field, Renee Geyer, Craig Collenge ( ex Fleetwood Mac ), Ted “the head” Yanni, Jeff Duff, Colleen Hewitt, The Loved Ones, The Chris Turner Band, The Mr Smith Band, Dave Lee and the Reasons, The Jacks Brother Band, Alpha, Medicine Bow, Bellum, Glass, The Limit, The Mind Movement, Bullet, The Jurassic Classics Band, The Masters Apprentices, The Little River Band, etc. etc.
I have written over 1000 songs over my music career and had extensive TV and Radio airplay over
the years. I recently featured on Songwriters Across Australia as one of my alias Graeme Grande. I have had Music Publishing interest from EMI, Castle Music, Northern Songs, MCA
and recording offers from Dave Mason and the Reels, Jimmy and the Boys, Dragon and Billy Field.
I recently completed a music video of my song “Too late the cat is out”
Whilst it is unlikely that I would be picked up as a “performing artist” at my age, I am more than happy
to build on my future purely as a songwriter and have other artists pick up my compositions.
I have a good web presence with such sites as; BroadJam, YouLicence, Reverbnation, YouTube, Myspace, Facebook, Posterous, Twitter, Songs Alive, Triple J Unearthed, Songcast and Ourstage etc.
I am still writing new material on a regular basis. Thank You for your interest.
