SEEKING
Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar.ABOUT
Experienced keyboard player who has recently relocated to Palm Cove seeks guitarist/vocalist to partner with to form a duo. I had trio at Melbourne called "Grey Area" which was a cover band focused on the synth pop, new romantic and new wave songs of the eighties. A selection of songs was also drawn from other decades.
You will find "Grey Area" on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/greyareacentral/
Please check out a demo video from a show I did a while back at the Elwood Lounge.
As the keyboard player. I produce all the backing tracks which play as MIDI sequences from my keyboard. During performances we would be performing our parts over the backing sequences. I spend a lot of time on the backing tracks to ensure the sounds are true to the original and that they are musically sound.
I am looking for somebody who has a very strong voice with a good range who can sing in key while playing acoustic guitar. Singer guitarists who can play rhythm and lead electric guitar as well will be be strongly favoured. Looking for somebody who has his/her sound and playing technique sorted and play and work as a team member.
I have written some original material too, so somebody who is interested in doing some original material at some point would be a good fit too.
I have had plenty of experience in cover bands. I have my own P.A. So we could pretty much play anywhere. Would be aiming to play about 2-3 times a week.
