I currently play drums and sing in a 3 piece, hard rock band called Citizen John. I play bass in in a 10 piece ska/funk/punk/rock band called Blowhard. I also play singer/song writer style solo shows on my trusty old 12 string acoustic. I'm a full time tradey, but music and skateboarding are my true happy place.
Yesterday I You Tubed Paul Kelly playing live in Toowoomba. The first song was a dubstep soundscape. The 2nd song was a hard rock song. 3rd song a country ballad. 4th a waltz time swing. His band swapped between the different genres like they'd just got back from Jamiaca, love The Angels, grown up in Nashville and backed Benny Goodman in his hey day.
That's the band I want to walk on stage with.
I have a soundproof practice room with a PA, drumkit and amps.
