I'm a singer (alto) with a variety of much loved instruments, notably the hurdy gurdy, tenor uke, piano, harmonium, upright bass and musical saw. I'm good at sightreading. I can harmonise. I can't write songs to save my soul (every song I have written has turned out to be a not-so-good rehash of a song I had just forgotten I knew).

Influences
I love folk music, especially trad. folk, especially Celtic trad. folk. I also love songs from the 1910s, 1920s, 1930s, 1940s (particularly as I'm working hard to develop my awesome upright bass and ukulele skills). I'm fond of many musical styles though - from medieval to psychedelic rock.
