SEEKING
Band to Join, Vocalist, Acoustic Guitar.ABOUT
Been playing guitar in working bands across Canada and Australia for over 20 years. Took a break from the gigging scene for a several years to to focus on family, life gets full, and music had to take a backseat for a bit. Now that the kids are older and things are a little less chaotic, I’m ready to get back into it.
I’m open to starting something new — duo, trio, or jumping into an existing project. Not chasing a packed calendar, just looking for something solid, relaxed, and with people who play for the right reasons. I do backup vocals, and I’ve got plenty of live experience, professional gear, and the ability to show up on time (which, let’s be honest, is half the battle).
Based in Aldinga and happy to travel a bit if the fit’s right.

Influences
I picked up the guitar at the age of 16 after hearing Randy Rhoads with Ozzy — that was the moment that lit the fire. I grew up on Metallica and the heavier side of things, but also had a solid mix of Journey, Pink Floyd, Eagles, and Fleetwood Mac in the background. And being Canadian, it’d be wrong not to mention RUSH and Tragically Hip.
I always find myself drawn to music with strong melodies and layered harmonies. As of late I have been into artists like Zac Brown Band and Chris Stapleton, and recently came across Aussie band Sons of the East at the Port Fairy Folk Festival — really connected with their sound. Love the warmth of acoustic arrangements and the dynamic feel of three-part harmonies — there’s something about that combo that just always feels right.

EQUIPMENT
I use professional-level gear suited for both live playing and recording. My main guitars are Ibanez, Strats, and Les Pauls, but my go-to is a custom Gibson SG. For acoustics, I love Taylor guitars.
Amp-wise, I still love my Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier with tc-electronics pedal board, but lately I’ve been using a Kemper for its flexibility and ease of use, especially for live setups.
For me, guitar gear is like socks in the dryer — somehow there’s always one missing, and it’s the one you need on stage.
