ABOUT

I am a highly committed musician who plays drums primarily. I have been in several performance programs in the past and have been in a number of bands with high school friends. In 2023, I went on a 2 week music tour of the United States and performed 10 shows to gain the experience of a touring band. I compose my own music and aim to hopefully study drums at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

Influences

From a general view, Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters has influenced me in how I understand the concept of music and has shaped my musical development over the years. From a drummers point of view, I branch out to progressive musicians such as Neil Peart and Mike Portnoy, as they provide challenges for me in my preferred field of music and sharpen my knowledge of rhythm and duration. From a compositional point of view, I am most influenced by Pink Floyd, as I enjoy conveying my internal emotions and ideas through psychedelic music that connects with my audience.
