ABOUT

Well this is new for me, but I suppose I've nothing to lose.
I'm Kammie. Or Kamran. Or Kammie Jafar or just Jafar. Don't mind which you use.
To be entirely honest I was always pretty garbage at music. Played a mean recorder in music class once and that was going to be it, until my Mother decided that she wanted me to learn an instrument and so the drums it was. That was nine-odd years ago and here I am, bound with music in a strange sort of love-hate-tolerate relationship.

Played a little in a band with some friends when I was much younger, but just covers and it was more of a 'fun thing' than an actual band. Played as the drummer in a percussion ensemble for a year or two, and got acquainted with playing as part of an orchestra, but I'm afraid that is where my performance experience ends.
More recently I picked up the Ukulele as part of a surge of interest in stringed instruments stemming from my infatuation with post-punk and orchestral rock but I could hardly say I know what I am doing with it, and even less so with regards to the guitar. Cannot sing to save my life, I am afraid.
I've just finished primary and secondary education overseas hence my age and have now moved back to my home city of Hobart which quite frankly is daunting, since I don't really know anyone now. Simply looking for someone to play something with so that I can pass the time.

EQUIPMENT

Roland TD-1K Electric Drum Kit - sounds dreadful out loud and is really simple, but I mostly play with headphones so I've never bothered getting anything better
GCEA-Tuned Mahalo Acoustic Ukulele - has been through the wars and is more a collection of splinters than a real instrument but I wouldn't prefer anything else
