ABOUT

Hey, I’m James—a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and producer based in Frankston East, VIC. Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, but it wasn’t until recently that I decided to take it seriously and put my work out into the world. Now, I’m looking to connect with other musicians who share the same passion for creating something raw, cinematic, and real.

I write, record, and produce everything myself under the name Seven Shades of Nothing, blending alternative rock, industrial, and cinematic soundscapes with introspective lyrics. Think Nine Inch Nails meets Pink Floyd with a touch of Bad Omens and Tool. Heavy on atmosphere, deep emotion, and layers of storytelling.

At the moment, I’m focused on recording and releasing music, but I’m also looking to connect with like-minded musicians for collaboration, songwriting, and possibly putting together a live lineup down the track. I’m open to jamming, co-writing, or just talking music over a drink.

A cellist or violinist to bring cinematic depth and emotion to the music.? A dynamic vocalist or harmonies to complement my voice.? A drummer with an appreciation for industrial grooves and cinematic rhythms.? A guitarist or bassist with a creative edge—someone who thinks outside the box.
