Like most I started on an Acoustic guitar and then was turned onto electric, at some point my teacher/friend then handed me a bass, and well I like to play in the bottom end.
I have been playing bass for 4 years and been with a small cover/original band with the odd gig and private gig every now and again.
I pick up new tunes and like to practice them and blend in with other players but do enjoy moving around the bass line time to time.
In my late 40's and a family man. I do commit to rehearsals once a week, with extra practice times when required for upcoming gigs.
I have been described as having a good stage presence and enjoy connecting with the crowd.

1 x Ashdown 100w (really 65w unless plugged in) - It works
1 x Music stand - who doesn't
1 x Ute - No you can not borrow it, no I will not help you move.
Guitar picks, - Don't use them, but they seem to be everywhere!
