Band members wanted for new Melbourne based modern folk band for gigs, recording etc
I'm an experienced singer / guitarist / songwritier who needs the right musos to play gigs & record EP's etc with...I'm also open to writing with band members too. This is a new venture & need dedicated, reliable, talented musos who play with great feel & professionalism to help make it huge.
Songs are original & current & not just the usual basic stuff.
Style is earthy, part acoustic / part electric...I guess folk??...but not strictly folk.
Lyrics are real & heartfelt.
Paid covers gigs are also available to help pay the way & get paid experience playing gigs together.

Songs are influenced by Ben Howard, Mumford & Sons, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Eddie Vedder's Into the Wild album, Paul Kelly, The Waifs, Bon Iver, John Butler Trio, Xavier Rudd, Angus & Julia Stone, John Mayer + all the classics like Johnny Cash, Bruce Springsteen, Crowded House, John Mellencamp, Tom Petty, U2, Creedence & some more rock & also some US country stuff.
Members Of Band
I play acoustic & electric (lead & rhythm), harmonica, mando, banjo.
Need a drummer, a bass player (both double bass & electric bass ability would be a bonus), a 2nd lead/rhythm guitarist to work with my lead/rhythm guitar parts, & a cellist...the more instruments you play & multi-tasking the better.
Obviously backing vocals is a huge bonus & if you sing lead to compliment what I do then even better.
Male or female, but at least 1 of each would be great.
