Jez is a dedicated musician who has been playing keys since the age of 8. He started performing live gigs at 16 and, at 21, was fortunate enough to join his first national tour with Nutty Wailer (of Bob Marley & The Wailers). Over the years, Jez has been a part of the Melbourne Blues & Roots scene, playing at local and national festivals alongside many incredibly talented and well renown artists. He recently had the honor of competing in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, where his band placed second. While Jez enjoys working as a session musician across blues, roots, reggae, soul, funk, folk, and country, his passion lies in creating music that speaks to the heart. His style is soulful and expressive, and though he loves a good solo, he also knows when to sit back. It's the connection with the music, audience and other musos that drives his playing.
