Prolific songwriter but rarely performed or shared. I realise I want to be in a band because I keep making band music - just doing all the instruments myself- jack of all trades, master of none - or using imported loops - but pretty good on acoustic guitar, fingerpicking styles. Vocals not bad on some songs but cannot see myself as a soloist - my voice is in an unusual range. Would love a female singer to harmonise with. I use imported loops shamelessly but regard them as placeholders for real humans - same with my vocals - so would love a few human plug ins to mess about with

Influences
Early influences, Pink Floyd, JJ Cale, Donovan, Supertramp, Bob Marley, Van Morrison, Bruce Cockburn, Led Zeppelin, Santana, Neil Young, James Taylor etc. Got into a bit of jazz which lead to acid jazz in the 90s and then electronic genres. Now I like to mix it up a bit. Some dance type tracks and other more moody, bluesy, swinging, lilty tunes. I like the American contemporary alternative country sounds like Lambchop, Gomez, Calexico and any good female vocals will get me in no matter what the genre. Eg the back up vocalist for Leonard Cohen who sings and wrote Boogie Street. Professor Ratbaggy is still a favourite. Anything from Dope Lemon I love - minimalist JJ Cale style is probably a sound I would like to chase but in a modern style - did I mention Bill Withers? Strange to say Pick Floyd is kind of minimalist - lost f space between the sounds. It’s the spaces between the sounds that are most important.
