ABOUT
Been making music on the guitar since I was nine years old. Had my first band in year eight at High School. Started playing in pubs at age 16. On and off, I have played music semi-professionally in bands and with friends for over 50 years!
Nowadays I am retired from the world of work and music is my passion.
So, I am looking to jam with like-minded folks for the fun of it or join a band to do a gig or two.
I live in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia and have all the equipment I need to hold up my end of the deal. I can also hack out a few numbers on vocals too.
Hopefully you will get in touch at nightlifebandoptusnet.com.au
You may be wondering why I have uploaded so many tracks.
Basically, I needed a place to put them so friends and family can listen to my tributes to the artists that have inspired me over the years. Also, on a few tracks, musician friends have contributed “virtually” to the tracks so I needed a place where they could listen to the finished product. Anyway, listen to as many or as few as you like. Thanks for stopping by!

Closer To Home - I'm Your Captain
My tribute to a classic Rock classic by Grand Funk Railroad This 1970 song written by American musician Mark Farner, who is the lead guitarist of GFR, and recorded by Grand Funk Railroad as the closing track to their album Closer to Home. It is one of the group's best-known songs and conveys the pleas of a captain on a troubled sea voyage and facing a mutiny from his crew. Its use of an orchestra during the long-repeated refrains of the closing movement served to differentiate it from much of Grand Funk's other work. Thanks to Carla for the great BVs

Delilah
My tribute to the amazing voice of Tom Jones with his 1967 hit Delilah. The song tells the story of a man who passes his girlfriend's window and sees her inside making love to another man. He waits outside all night, and then confronts her in the morning, only to have her laugh in his face. He stabs her to death, and then waits for the police to come break down the door and arrest him.
