ABOUT

We, The Moment Killer are a three-piece band which generally rehearses once a week/fortnight (depending on availability) and gig once a month on average.

We are after a keyboard player to fit the missing piece to our group. Don't really care about age, gender, orientation etc but just the right fit musically and personally. Backing vocals would be a bonus but not essential. A paragraph from our bio:

"The music thrives on melodies, a folky/pop sensitivity that is occasionally dipped in a harder edge, heart firmly on the sleeve and sprinkled with a liberal dose of honesty."

The type of player we are after would be able/willing to come up with their own parts to our songs. Your own style, creativity and flair to enhance new and old tunes is what we are after. We would want you to play your part in enhancing each one of our smash hits.

During 2024 our main focus is to write and record however, we will play the odd gig along the way. We do what we do because we are passionate about it. This is a hobby band that works around day jobs. Sure, we want as many people as possible to like us but we are not going to be famous anytime soon and we are comfortable with that.

Our latest album is a great reference point for the type of thing we are after. The keys were played by the producer and we think he gave each song exactly what was needed. The album is on all the usual streaming services and its called "Hidden in Plain Sight."

Our ages vary from 24 to 55 and any gender, age, orientation etc are all welcome.

We rehearse in Wantirna and as we all work, the day and times vary to fit everyone's commitments outside of the band. For the right person, we can work out a more central venue if needed.

Our drummer also plays in a cover band so we would be fine if you already are in another band, provided you are committed to make both bands work.
