ABOUT

I was active in the music scene from 1979 until 1996. I put a hold on a career in music to raise a family just as doors were beginning to open for me. I had to decide on a music career with no future guarantees or provide a stable financial environment for my family so music took a back seat.

I joined La Femme in 1980 and was the original drummer in The Badloves. I played a few gigs with the Daryl Braithwaite band in 1989 while other notable mentions were auditions with Australian Crawl, Real Life, Chris Wilson and Broderick Smith to name a few.

I drummed in a number of projects along the way with members from Paul Kelly and The Dots, Little Heroes, Australian Crawl, MEO245, James Freud and The Radio Stars etc.

I'm now retired and looking to pick up where I left off so I'm keen to get together with like minded musicians who want to play music for the simple enjoyment of making music.

I'm into laid back Delta blues, southern rock and bluesy rock.

I now have a lot of free time on my hands so I'm flexible with rehearsals. I'm located in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne and prefer to keep things close to home.

Attached are a few videos to showcase my playing but keep in mind that the recordings are from the early 90's and the live videos were recorded on VHS tape so the quality is nowhere near as good as what's available today.

Influences

My musical influences are too many to mention but drummers I like are Charlie Watts, Steve Jordan, Charlie Drayton and Phil Rudd.

I'm not an overly technical player but prefer to sit in a groove and provide a foundation for the rest of the band.
