Making a late comeback after 20 years in the background managing and producing events I've decided to sing it up and get serious about having musical adventures and fun. Upskilling and playing a diverse range of material plus developing songs I've had fermenting for decades in some cases.

Influences

I have worked with other artists from Africa, France, Blues, Americana, Mediterranean, Indian, Southern Roots, Celtic and Gypsy backgrounds as an example. I also really love spiritual music, recitation, humming, toning, chanting etc in fact it was through recitation of Quran that I found my voice.
As a Gen Joneser my greatest delights and influences come from the 70s so anything prog rock but also Disco, Funk, Soul and Latin dance was a huge thing for me as a young dance teacher at Arthur Murray's Studio.

I also listen to and enjoy singing the tunes of the greats of jazz and plenty of Australian classics and great women artists like Susan Tedeschi, Sade, Stevie Nicks and the Mamuse wonders.
