ABOUT

Keys Player Seeking a Band – Folk Rock Vibes with a Side of Nineties Street Cred ??

Alright, Melbourne musos—who needs a pianist with a well-loved Roland FP-30X, a decent ear, and a healthy dose of ‘90s Sydney scene nostalgia? Back in the day, I was knocking around venues like the Annandale, Hopetoun, Three Weeds, Forest Lodge Hotels, and Petersham Inn, playing keys in all sorts of setups—folk rock, straight-up rock, a bit of country, even reggae (because why not?).

These days, I’m getting back into it after a bit of a hiatus (life, am I right?), but the passion’s still there, and the fingers still work! My style leans folky with a rock edge—think layered keys, mood-setting chords, and the occasional melodic flourish. I’m all about creating something real with good people, whether that’s jamming, gigging, or putting something new together.

Looking for a band that doesn’t take itself too seriously but still loves making solid music. If you need a keys player who can bring a mix of vibe, groove, and some old-school gig war stories, hit me up! Let’s make some noise. ??

Influences

My musical DNA is a heady mix of jangly folk rock, moody post-punk, and cinematic synth vibes. Think The Smiths, The Cure, Echo & the Bunnymen, New Order, Prefab Sprout, Aztec Camera, The Blue Nile, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Alan Parsons Project—all wrapped up with a touch of indie and modern melancholia. I vibe with The National, Silversun Pickups, Counting Crows, Gang of Youths, Cub Sport, Sam Fender, The 1975, Teenage Dads, Wrest, and beyond.
