Hi there I am 21 years old and I love to play music. I have a few years of experience in different live settings playing different instruments.
As a saxophonist, I have been playing for over 10 years, starting off playing in primary school wind bands. Then in high school I played in wind bands and had some experience in a stage band. As I moved through my school's performing arts program I was given opportunities to play in state and a national wind band championship, where in 2017 we were the Aggregate Juvenile Wind Band Champions. I have also completed AMEB grades 2-7 with grades from B+ to A+. Currently I play live in an amateur cover band called The Hard Loves. We would gig on average 6-8 times a year, playing pubs and house parties. Our setlist is mostly Aussie rock and rock anthems.
As a piper I have been playing for 7 years, 4 years in competitive environments and subsequently 3 years casually. I have played in a pipe band for the largest school based cadet unit in the southern hemisphere, and also marched in the city on Anzac Day as a piper. I have also competed in levels such as Australian National Championships, All European National Championships, Irish National Championships, and several other competitions and Highland Gatherings. I was promoted to the rank of Pipe Sergeant, during which time I had competed on several occasions, and was in a leadership group for 70 students on a tour of Scotland, Ireland and England.
Recently during the lockdowns I have been teaching myself guitar and am loving it. I have been learning since August last year, and since November been gifted my own electric guitar. Currently I am learning songs and developing my technique, I am keen to further explore improvisation and musical theory.

Influences
I have had many influences throughout the years. My conductors through school who I am still in contact with have instilled good values in me, both as a musician and within my characteristics. Further than that I am inspired by my fellow band mates to play the best I can. As I am only a casual player I am not strictly influenced by any professionals, but thoroughly enjoy listening to their music. Some of my favourite artists are: Grover Washington Jr, KALEO, Black Keys, INXS, Queen, Kings of Leon, ACDC, Santana, Jimi Hendrix, RCHP and John Mayer.

My saxophone is a Yamaha YTS-62 with a Jody Jazz 7 mouthpeice.
