ABOUT

I play keyboard, concertina & accordion. But my main function is coordinator of the community-based music ensemble Loosely Woven (looselywoven.org) based in Sydney's Northern Beaches (we rehearse in Humph Hall in Allambie Heights). We put together three new shows each year and perform them multiple times and places in Sydney and NSW (7-11 performances per show). In 2017 we even performed a series of concerts in New Zealand in collaboration with some local musicians. We do this just for the fun of it - never for money. We always perform acoustically (no PA). We are always looking for instrumentalists - violin, viola, cello, flute, whistle, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone etc. Singers also welcome - especially if you are experienced and can read music.

The content of each concert is determined by the people participating in it. Anything goes so the concerts are always very varied but usually with a leaning towards folk.
