ABOUT

Hi, I’m a songwriter/producer/musician/mix and production consultant that has worked professionally with and for various Australian and International artists and labels.

I work across a lot of genres (from Jazz, Classical, Alternative, Pop, Rock & EDM) so I’m always looking for Vocalists, Musicians Rappers, Turntablists, Songwriters, Producers e.t.c to collaborate with. Lots of different projects come through my studio so if you check back you may find something for you.

CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR;
A) Vocalists to feature on an edgy intelligent pop project. (Mezzo+)
B) Vocalists for a chilled jazz lounge thing
C) Rapper and turntablist for a hip-hop/EDM crossover track.

Studio experience is not essential, you only need pitch, tone and passion.

So, if you are interested, have questions, or require help to polish your own Project or Studio, feel free to contact me. If you send something to madmod001 with the g before mail ;)

Influences

My influences are many (old Skool and New) and easier to understand if you search via producers. You should see a common theme in that they all have an edginess to them. In No particular order. Max Martin (Pink and most things he has done) Bjork, George Martin (Beatles), Quincy Jones, Trent Reznor (NIN), Pharrell, Andy Wallace (Jeff Buckley), Dave Jerden (AIC), Rick Rubin (Johnny Cash, Chilli Peppers, JayZ), Dre, Eno, Trevor Horn, Butch Vig (garbage), Chainsmokers, Brendan O'Brien (STP, Soundgarden), James Brown (& any funk) Maynard J Keenan (APC, Tool), Jeff Lynne, Scott Storch, Hugh Padgham (Police), old skool Shrapnel stuff (Marty and Jason Becker) Brian Wilson, Anyone of the classical engineers and producers at the early years of Decca, HMV, RCA, & DGG, Most of the ECM jazz stuff. EDM & IDM stuff like Jon Gooch (Feed Me, Spor), Deadmau5, Skrillex, and most stuff where their is no 909 (kick, snare, clap and hat so that wipes out most House ;), I like 808 :)

EQUIPMENT

I’m mainly ITB and have most of the pro mix plugs that emulate ssl, api, neve, fairchild, pultec, emi, etc etc plus a deadly arsenal of synth plugs, rr samples and IR’s that pretty much cover every hardware synth, drum machine, amp & speaker cab and includes a massive collection of acoustic keys, drums and percussion, both western and ethnic.
