Marc with a Sea formed in mid-2018 after I (Marc) decided it was time to put a band together to take my original solo indie guitar tunes to a wider audience. We're all day-job working mature age performers who love to get together and play music and are happy to play with other like-minded performers of any age, any gender, any anything! We'd love to have a female backup singer aboard to help support my singing with harmonies and extra melodies. And we'd really like a new lead guitarist to join the band too. Ideally we're looking for someone who lives reasonably close to the Inner West. We play pretty much anywhere we can because we love to play and as a result, often don't make much or any money. We're always hunting for better paying gigs though and they sometimes pop up. We've been together for 5 years and tend now to rehearse before gigs because we are very familiar with our songs. However, if someone new were to join the band, we could rehearse more or as required to get them up to speed. We've been likened to the Hoodoo Gurus and the Saints when playing live because we have a slightly rawer sound. Below are a couple of links to give you an idea of what we're like ...
