SEEKING
Band to Join, Vocalist, Vocalist - Tenor, Rhythm Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Background Singer, Vocalist - Alto.ABOUT
15+ years playing, AND having not been performing for a while! A while between sets, and somehow the catch-cry "Play something we all know"... "Play something we can dance to"... still lingers.
Looking to meet musicians who are happy to jam - maybe on to securing some occasional gig work. Dabbling in song-writing and I enjoy recording; historically as lead and/or backing vocals or rhythm guitar. My years of experience were in 'pub-rock' cover bands, duos, community choir and acapella groups [alto-tenor].

Influences
Early influences were predominantly country/blues, gospel and folk; Etta James, Lucinda Williams, Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, - then progressed to New Age and Grunge genre's; Annie Lennox, The Pretenders, Janis Joplin, Sheryl Crow, Tracy Chapman, Radiohead, LIVE, Blink182, Nirvana, Portishead, Alice In Chains...
One upon a time, band and I wanted to be famous!!! "WoodN'Eye" ... heard of them... nup?!!?
Went on the road, in a touring bus, and travelled 1/2 of Australia!! At the time, any thing Alternative Australian Punk Pub Rock was my influence. Baby Animals/Suzie Dimarchi, Divynals, Killing Heidi, The Living End, Grinspoon...
But I learn't guitar playing country 4-chord-wonders! So a lot of 'influence' has come from there!
Before this, I earned stripes, playing guitar in a folk-blues duo "Syrup", with lead vocals. And I first started playing a borrowed Fender Strat in a country rock pub band called "The Gecko's", at a time I played till my fingers bled - and all I wanted to do was jam!
Still dabble in song writing and historically, recorded several songs - in the days before Pro-Tools! When we had to travel 800kms to get a demo CD put together.

Yamaha Acoustic/electric cutaway, 'Artist' / Epiphone Sunburst,; SM33 Shure Mic; all leads; Ukulele Acoustic/electric, tin whistle, recorder!
The Yammy is nearly as old as my gigging career. I use [and sometimes abuse] my Ukulele - the acoustic/electirc is new - I spend a bit of time purchasing strings, but mostly loungeroom jamming with my boyfriend!
