Hi, My name is Michael, I'm 42 years old and a talented vocalist with potential. I've been told many times over the years I should have a serious go at being a little more serious with music, I have a particular passion for singing. I am also interested in doing some back up studio stuff for experience
For the last few years I have had to be satisfied with the odd karaoke show and occasionally a live band at the pub, singing a few numbers with them. Apart from that just singing in the car. I suppose any practice is good practice.
I have had a little bit of experience with band work, unfortunately most of it has been auditions where the band mentioned I was impressive but it has mainly been problems with old singers coming back which I suppose is understandable but from my end quite annoying.
I did do a couple of tavern gigs in tuggers although it was pretty awkward and I was quite wet behind the ears with the whole live performance thing.
I did have the cool experience of performing Jesus Christ Superstar at Erindale with Canberra Philarmonic back in about 2005.
Fundamentally I want to do this again because it is fun although I would be willing to commit to band practice through the week and live performance, I guess that is essentially why I am doing this.

Influences
My main influences are commercial hence I do want to sing the pub stuff. I can sing the old classics like Smoke on the water, Sweet Home Alabama among others. The stuff I listen to is Springsteen, The screaming jets, Bonjovi, I like Mellencamp, there is a lot of other stuff that I can sing as well both classic rock and newer stuff.
