I am exploring a new slant on an ancient theme - I call it "Dance Kirtan".
The music is beautiful western dance music themes of the last 50 years, using typical band instruments - the music I have grown up on & love. We get the crowd grooving big time!
But for lyrics we use Sanskrit mantras & the call & response tradition.....this is a synergy of classical Indian chanting (Kirtan).
I am looking for drums, bass & organ players & female vocals. Must feel good about singing Indian mantras & must like dance!
