In the process of putting together a funk/lounge band, A mix between Jamiroquai, Herbie Hancock, Cory Wong, James Brown, Prince. I play guitar and have been collaborating with a second guitarist, writing material. Happy to send some examples to anyone interested. We have a bassist and drummer covered. We are looking for the following:
-Horn section
-Keyboard player for some Matt Johnson/Herbie Hancock vibes.
-Someone who uses Ableton live or similar as there are quite a few electronic elements.
-Congas
-Vocalists
No preference of age and the more members the better. We want it to be a big band sound. We aren't trying to conquer the world. The idea is to have fun and get people up dancing with the songs we have written as well as throwing in some classic funk covers as well. I've added some demos for people to get an idea of what we want to do.
