I have been singing my whole life but in the past year I have been working really hard to get to a point where I can start auditioning for bands. I have a large range and can sing everything from Bonnie Raitt to Tool. Singing is my biggest passion and I have missed not doing it for so long. I sing everyday and have recently taken up lessons again. From this I am expanding my range more and more and learning about the technical side of singing. I sung all through my schooling and was chosen as a soloist to preform in front of a choir at the annual awards ceremony which was a big deal. I have also been involved in a quartet over my schooling years so I am very experienced in harmonizing. I have done heaps of musicals but it's not really my thing. Influences
Stevie Nicks is probably my biggest influence, I love her vibrato. In more recent times though i have been strongly influenced by Maynard Kennan (tool), Matt Bellamy (muse), Hayley Williams (Paramore), Amy Lee (Evanescence) Tori Amos, Suze De Marchi (Baby Animals), Kurt Cobain, Stonefield (those chicks Rock!!) Florence & The Machine, Adele, Duffy, Beth Orton, Taylor Swift (before you knock it, you should hear some of her non mainstream lyrics)...... The list could go on and on.....
