I'm Ollie. I am 22 years old and I'm from the northern suburbs of Perth. I am essentially a bedroom guitarist who'd quite like the opportunity to jam/gig with other metal heads and get an idea of what it's like to play in a band, rather than playing along to pre-recorded tracks and metronomes.
I work full time, so this is more of a recreational/educational thing for me at this point. I don't drink, so designated driver right here, bitch!
I have no problem playing covers or original material, I can also make my own contributions to songwriting if need be, I don't have any recorded tracks of my own that are band ready, but I've had a decent amount of practice with recording and writing.
I seem to have a lot of trouble composing full songs, I struggle with changes, vocal melodies and structure, but if you have tracks that already have a concept and framework, I reckon I could do some magic there.
In terms of my skill levels, I'm quite modest, but as an example, I can play 'Master Of Puppets' pretty flawlessly.
I want something to push me a little further, I feel like my skills are somewhat stagnating, and when it comes to practicing or learning new songs, I often can't be fu*ked. However, with the added responsibility of being in a band, I could definitely deliver.

EQUIPMENT
I have a 150watt Line 6 Spider IV amp (cue the laughter), 6 electric guitars (almost entirely Ibanez'), a semi acoustic 6-string (Ibanez again), a semi acoustic 12-string (Takamine) and a nylon string acoustic (Lag).
All my recording stuff is PC based, I use Cubase 5, a Behringer C1-U condenser mic, a 49 key MIDI keyboard and a USB interface for the guitars. It's pretty basic stuff, but it's all I currently need.
