I've been playing guitar for around seven years now, but I was only LEARNING guitar for the first four or so of those.
The past few years I've tried a number of ways to teach myself more things, but all I can really do is learn new songs as I don't have the dedication to teach myself something with no real end-goal. I think having some other musicians to inspire me would help me get much better as both a guitarist and a musician.
I don't know how I'd go joining a band, doing gigs or anything of the sort, but I would love to get together with some like-minded people and simply play some music.
