Originally learnt classical violin at school and did not play for many years- played fiddle and sang in a folk band in Sydney as fiddler/vocalist around the folk clubs on the Northern Beaches in the mid 80s - mixed playlist of celtic, scottish reels, Eric bogle and trad folk songs as well as some classic pop tunes -now retired and playing with a group who are in to blues & pop more than folk - so really a part timer in the band - I want to play more folk - as well as blues. Now retired in Noosa with more time to play - also currently playing in Noosa Orchestra as a Violist.

Influences
As a teenager in the 60's my influences were more Bob Dylan than the Beatles - and I still prefer folk to rock but like a lot of music types from Meat Loaf (gasp!) to Woody Guthrie !
