Phil Spence is a singer, songwriter and recording artist. He began performing in cafes as a tertiary student. Phil has played his music in festivals, clubs, cafes, pubs, community events, and on tours across Australia. He has performed in USA, Canada, New Zealand, Russia, Germany, India, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Fiji, Namibia, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Uganda.
Phil released his first album, First Light, in 1980, after playing and recording in the seventies. He twice toured the east coast of Queensland playing tracks from the album. In Australia, the songs Company and Forgiven from the album received widespread radio and television play.
Phil and his band also supported international acts such as Dan Peak (ex-America) and Randy Stonehill in Brisbane, Australia. A show in Nepal was televised to 15 Asian countries, and Infidel from Phil’s first album, First Light, was a hit in Papua New Guinea.
Since that time Phil has released four more albums on his Normal Music label - Holy Warrior, Live at the City Gate, On the Inside, and Revolution. He also has songs included on four other album projects. One of Phil’s most successful singles, Heart of Mine has achieved over 150,000 streams on Spotify and other platforms.
