Sandy Bigara has performed professionally since 1995, in stage productions, and as a choral member of her Provincial / State Choir, touring South Africa and Europe for 9 years. She is a trained composer and has composed over 40 classical pieces ("VIVAT" in the play list) and well over 150 modern / indie / pop songs since 1994.
From 2002 - 2005 Sandy trained as a Bella canto singer, and competed in 11 categories of classical music including aria antiche, folk, art song, lieder etc and won 10 out of the 11 categories with an average score of A+. She was awarded a floating trophy by the Societa Dante Alleghieri, backed by the Italian consulate - for excellence in the Aria Antiche category.
From 2002 - 2003 Sandy was Artistic Director of the Danville Girls High Choir, and then from 2004 - 2007 Sandy was Head of Music and Drama at two local schools in Durban, South Africa - Atholton Primary and St Henry's Marist Brothers College. Sandy also ran a busy Music School from 1998 - 2014.
