SEEKING
Band to Join, Bass Guitar.ABOUT
G'day all, hope you're well.
I'm an experienced bass player looking to join a band that plays songs in the styles of hard rock, heavy rock, or punk rock. Not really into metal or double-time genres.
Plenty of past experience. Not fussed if you're older or younger, if we click then age won't matter.
Started life as a drummer, and then moved to bass. My passion is providing that solid drive and "punch", creating a platform that the music can launch from.
I know that a little hard work goes hand in hand with the fun of being part of a band. I'm up for that. Happy to be given a sample of your originals or covers material to speed-learn, I'm not here to waste your time.
Whilst my musical taste is very eclectic, I am happiest when I'm playing material that has drive and a solid backbone that gets the foot tapping. I'm open to numerous musical styles as long as there's an alignment with my influences.
I have flexibility in my personal time, happy to try to work into your existing practise times/rehearsals. For the right fit, I am very willing to travel across town.
Thanks for reading and stay well. 19simon67 at g mail dot com.

Influences
I've been influenced by many styles. At my core I'm a 70's - 80's punk. Sex Pistols, Clash, The Damned, Siouxsie, similar sounds. Huge fan of the pacey 3-5 chord 4-piece genre. Rock influences start with Deep Purple, Led Zep, The Cult, Clutch, Fooeys, Jet, The Datsuns, Shihad, Weta, Florence Black. Throw in some Bronx, COFFIN, Grinspoon, Buckcherry, and early Green Day. I enjoy playing blues based hard rock too.
Happy to adapt and play anything similar to those styles above.
