Skeleton Quay is pirate themed folk band based in Brisbane. We play shanties and piratical/nautical themed folk music (covers and originals).
We are not just a band, we are a pirate cabaret musical experience. Each member gets into character and we perform in full pirate regalia.
We are looking for a lead vocalist/front man who can engage the audience. Previous theatre experience would be highly regarded, but not essential, as would the ability to an instrument. We are looking for a vocalist who can sing with a rough, gritty texture (think Nick Cave/Tom Waits)
We are also looking for a drummer/percussionist who is able to create a folky sound. If you play instruments like bodhran, washboard, spoons, bones etc., we'd love to hear from you.
