Played in bands for about 5-10 years, did a little touring and had fun. Lead/Rhythm and some slide and harmonica in blues, punk and country bands.
I used to love the blues and always enjoyed the dynamic nature of jamming with people who enjoyed the music, even if it wasn't technically correct, if you're having fun, that's 80% right there.
I've thought about a surf band, black keys duo type band. I'm not even sure anymore on exactly on what direction I want to dedicate my time, so I think I'll try a few things and jam with some people and see what's what.
I'm notoriously unreliable on a regular basis, but if I say I'll be there, I'll be there.
I gave up playing a few years ago after exiting my previous band under circumstances that left me pretty upset and lacking a bit of confidence and interest to continue playing. But I've got some ideas and motivation to begin playing again after a few years and I'm keen to meet some people and see where it goes.
Could be keen for someone to come around and drink a six-pack while we go down a youtube rabbit-hole of alt-country and see what influences and favourites line up, I'm down for that.
I can play acoustic and electric and I have all my own gear. I could be open to gigs if things were right, but I'd only be keen on covers that would probably fall outside the regular pub rock set list.
Don't let the amount of gigs fool you, I'm not very good.
